Fuelling Greater Manchester is an informal network event bringing together people interested in community energy.
There’s no agenda and no power point, just expect to meet like minded folk in a relaxed and informal setting - share your experience and learn something from others.
With a shift in national policy it's an exciting time to be in community energy. Alongside recent announcements about GB
Energy and investment which is due to enter the sector via the Local Power Plan, in Greater Manchester we have heard encouraging words from Andy Burnham and GMCA.
This has been backed by funding for innovative projects such as the Oldham Net Zero Accelerator and revitalised interest in the Denshaw Wind project.
There's a huge amount of work already happening around community energy in Greater Manchester. We want to come together to think about how we can take the sector from strength to strength.
Light refreshments will be provided.
Organisers:
Fuelling Greater Manchester is being organised by Greater Manchester Community Renewables and Carbon Coop. The current events are a reboot of the original events that took place across the region between 2010-2015.
